I have been a bit quiet lately, sometimes there are heaps of things I want to say but don't.
I have been thinking about what I want the image of Life, Love & The Everyday to be for myself and readers. Whether it's just an online diary of a twenty-six year old woman going through the motions that most people can relate to or get out there more and take more pictures; or even just pull the plug on the entire thing. But today, yours truly wants to exhibit a poem.
It's a poem about me and A. and how we are complete opposites but complement each other's strengths.

LOVE

Beautiful Chaos

You keep me grounded like an anchor in torrential seas, and I bring you up to the stars.
You are the canvas and I am the paint - together we are beautiful chaos.
I am the lyrics, you are the rhythm - the very beat of my heart.
Together we are lost and found again in the midst of beautiful chaos.

& THE EVERY DAY

Working, writing, eating, sleeping, procrastionating, gym. This is mostly what I have been doing but A. and I went to see Les Miserables a couple of weeks ago - it was the best performance I have ever seen! Last Saturday night A. spontaneously brought two tickets to see Unwritten Law, I had heard of them but hadn't listened to them so it was really exciting to hear their song Caylin and then see them live! A. didn't buy just any ol' tickets either, he got VIP so we got to meet the members of the band - they were pretty cool too!

Something new: I'm giving up coffee and soft drinks for good this month! Woo!
There's a reason why but I can't share that with you yet ;)

My Mum hails from a farming district called Kin-Kin and being a country girl who came to live in the big ol' city, has a yen for scenic drives to a place where she can see blue sky the color of forget-me-not's and you can inhale the fresh air mingled with flowers (and every so often, manure). Every now and then, A. and I receive a spontaneous invitation for a country drive.  Our favorite place is Mount Tamborine, but last Monday we headed to Canungra on the Gold Coast, approximately forty minutes drive from Brisbane. The Dreamer

A couple of weeks ago, I got a tad melancholy. I get that way sometimes because I overthink things. In this case I was thinking about the things I have wanted to do but haven't done. When I was 17 I had alot of naive optimism that life would go exactly the way I planned it. Get a steady job, marry the man of my dreams by 25, have my first kid at the age of 26 (because that's what my Mum did,) be a housewife and a successful author - oh yes, my life looked trim and tidy as a garden hedge.  Then real life happend.   It's been beautiful, ugly, calm and crazy. There are days when I want to be apart of it and days that I'd rather hide in the safety of what is familiar and comfortable.  But I'm glad that its been this way because it has made me stronger, wiser and more resilient than the 17 year old me was. New Beginnings

LIFE Our second week in our new home has been uneventful...mostly. A. fell down in the city and chipped a front tooth. The circumstance had me thinking of the childhood rhyme Jack & Jill and I wonder if, when Jack fell down the hill whether his front teeth was the crown he broke... As for myself, I made the mistake of hand-washing our clothes in the laundry sink and hung it out to dry on the line. I forgot we left our clothes pegs at Fawlty Towers! The washing was hanging out there for three days until A. and *Harry found it all scattered on the lawn around the line! Whoops! LOVE The perks of living in a suburb where the buses go every 10-20 minutes means a longer sleep-in for yours truly. What's really cute is that A. and I walk to the bus stop together and this ritual makes me giddy.
